Challenging a traditional leader. Rebranding Rio's second best university.

 

task & Solution

Universidade Veiga de Almeida (UVA) is Rio's second best private university with a strong focus on e-learning and future technologies. The task was to refresh the brand in order to appeal to a wider audience and challenge the leader in the market, a traditional elite Catholic institution. The brand personality 'The inspiring champion' together with the brand idea 'The starting point of your future' create a strong story line and translate the circular shape of the former logo
into a messaging system, which empowers UVA to talk to their students directly.

OUTCOME

The new identity positions UVA as a confident and contemporary brand with a clear vision and tone of voice. It was successfully rolled out across five campuses and includes print as well as digital and environmental media. A signage redesign across all of UVA's campuses followed the rebrand.
